The Bucket List Movie

July 3rd, 2008 · 1 Comment

There are certain movies that when you just see the people in the movie and you hear what it is about.. you just know it is going to be good.  The Bucket List is one of those movies.  Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman star in this fantastic feel good movie about getting older and of coarse things you want to do before you kick the bucket!  You will laugh.. You might cry (i didn’t).. You will feel for the characters.. You will end up making your own bucket list…lol! It just happens.  9 out of 10 great film, but didn’t get me to cry and I LOVED the ending!!!!!

If you can’t figure out what you want to add to your list.. I recommend you pick up the book 2001 Things To Do Before You Die by Dane Sherwood.  It is literally a list compiled that you can use.  In the back of the book it even has a couple pages where you can add your own.  I got it 2 years ago and have been checking off boxes ever since.  I found it on Amazon for $1.39 here..

Anyways, here are some examples from the book:

  • See a bullfight
  • Watch the sun rise on a Hawaiian Isle
  • Recreate a Roman Orgy
  • Have a personal Trainer
  • Take leave of your senses
  • Give up on being perfect
  • Spot one of America’s Most Wanted
  • Find Buried Treasure
  • Have your own talk show
  • Send flowers to a friend for no particular reason on no special day
  • Win with a Royal Flush
  • Grow your own vegetables
  • Draw up a living will
  • Own some go-go boots
  • Contribute to world peace
  • Sleep witha  ghost in the room
  • Toast Marshmellows
  • Fall head-over-heels in love
  • Take a bus or train up into the Andes
  • Seduce someone
  • Get Seduced
  • Be someone’s hero
  • Have high tea
  • Christmas carol with candles
  • Send a message in a bottle
  • Finish a marathon (without throwing up)
  • Learn to sew
  • Swallow a goldfish
  • Horseback-ride on a Costa Rican beach at dawn, clothing optional
  • Call a radio station and dedicate a song to your mom

Here are some I came up with:

  • Write a novel
  • Learn a 2nd language
  • Explore the Egyptian ruins and pyramids
  • Go on a cruise
  • Tickle someone to tears
  • Eat at a 5 star restaurant and actually like the food
  • Ride in a private jet (hopefully my own)
  • Bungee Jump

What are yours?
