Ok.. so I finally went out and bought Wordpress For Dummies by Lisa Sabin-Wilson and Matt Mullenweg. I just wanted to figure out how to create my own templates. Well I didn’t end up getting that much into the details of how to do it (apparently I need to read the php book lol and yes that is next). I do have to say that I did figure out what the hell widgets were and how to change my blog using free templates. There is also a bit about SEO and linking. The book was sectioned off into like 3 major sections.. Using a Wordpress that is hosted.. hosting your own blog with wordpress and like a wordpress for companies.. like a network. I read the book from cover to cover (even though she told me not to) and learned lots of cool details on tips, tricks and help using wordpress online! I am learning a lot of these things from scratch and when you do that sometimes you get holes in the lessons.. with this book.. it explains even the simplist things which is good for beginners and also for those of us that just take a bit of this and that from stuff we saw online! It is also really easy to find the section you need information on! She also repeats herself on hosting and domains in each section just in case you aren’t reading it cover to cover!
